Good morning, and welcome to AdVintage! We provide wine courses, education, tastings and training sessions in and around Tyne and Wear, North East England, UK. From short consumer courses in wine tasting, through to professional training and tours, our service is second to none.

In recent years our groups have visited Loire Valley, Catalonia, Andalucia, Lake Garda, Tuscany, Valencia and this year 2012 we will visit France.

Deep in the countryside of South Lakes, Best Western’s Shap Wells Hotel, placed in 30 acres of woodland is only minutes from Junction 39 on M6. The hotel steeped in history built in 1833, has played host to members of the Royal Family who used the hotel as a hunting base during the 1920’s, during WW2 it was used as a prisoner or war camp for officers. The areas history is ancient, remains of a Romano-British Iron Age village can be found in the grounds. The Old Spa Well is a short walk from the hotel where red squirrels and deer are often seen. Join us and be bright eyed and bushy tailed to take part in the wine tasting games and quizzes that Advintage have prepared for you.

Previous Wine Tours...

The Cava Train ("Catas" in Catalonia) - 10th to 15th October 2004

The train is due to leave Sans station, the main station in Barcelona at 9am and with true Spanish “manana” efficiency arrived at 9.30am. But the platform was thronged, the atmosphere expectant, and the tardiness good humouredly accepted. Meanwhile the assembled musicians, dancers and entertainers could give a rehearsal of things to come at the end of the station for the crowd and TV cameras.
